MoonMars Village Workshop Budapest

The Moon Village concept has the ambition to serve a number of objectives: planetary science, life sciences, astronomy, fundamental research, resources utilization, human spaceflight, economic development, worldwide peaceful cooperation, inspiration of the young generation, the general public and many more, to the community. It should become the catalyst of new alliances between public and private entities, including non-space industries.

"The Moon Village is a vision for global cooperation and Space 4.0."

(Jan Wörner, ESA Director General)

The Moon/Mars Village concept was vividly discussed at the International Astronautical Congress 2017 in Adelaide as well, and You might have heard of Elon Musk's thoughts on a Moon base and more exciting stuff.

There is now an opportunity to participate in the first MoonMarsVillage workshop in Hungary. It will be held on 31 October in Budapest at Google Ground, hosted by Puli Space, former Google Lunar XPRIZE Team.

After the presentations - amongst the presenters are Bernard Foing (ESA/ESTEC), Szaniszló Bérczi (Roland Eötvös University, Budapest), Artemis Wengenberg (Explore Mars), participants will have the opportunity to discuss various topics in working groups like Science & Robotics, Resource utilization & Exploitation, Infrastructure & Life Support, Commercial opportunities, and more.
